Yeah — I love this town but …

I live in a suburb — it has EXCELLENT schools, a fabulous library, the world’s BEST independent bookstore, and a great dog friendly (at least outdoors) pub. Life is GOOD.

I also live near a world class city that has science and art museums, two (count ’em two) world class zoos, and two airports which means that I almost always get non stop flights to wherever I may choose to go.

But, we don’t have everything. First, I don’t live near the Pilgrim Congregational Church, in Weymouth, MA, where you can go to Woof N Worship and bring your best friend to church. (Dear Lord, please make me the person my dog thinks I am)

Now, if letting dogs in church seems like a miracle — that is nothing compared to happenings in Marino, Italy. The plan was for wine to flow from a fountain — but a plumbing “mishap” steered the wine from the fountain to the faucets of some homes. (Naturally the homeowners filled their bottles and containers — as would I). CHEERS

  1. Our friend in Brussels attended a festival where they had beer pouring from the Mannakin Pis. Not sure I could bring myself to drink that, even if it was good Guiness.

  2. Why don’t I live in Italy?!?

  3. “Dear Lord, please make me the person my dog thinks I am” …I think that’s one of the best prayers I’ve ever heard!
