Bunny asked me to take this quiz. Which I’ll gladly do in November (any other month also, but when we’re going for 30 posts in 30 days let’s grab the memes)
The results were very close — I grew up just north of the yellow zone in Chicago. I did spent 15 years living in central Illinois — so perhaps my accent became more neutral there.
|What American accent do you have? (Best version so far)NeutralYou’re not Northern, Southern, or Western, you’re just plain -American-. Your national identity is more important than your local identity, because you don’t really have a local identity. You might be from the region in that map, which is defined by this kind of accent, but you could easily not be. Or maybe you just moved around a lot growing up.|

If you’re interested in taking this quiz, please do — but I’m specifically tagging … squib if she can find the time, Old Blue Socks and One Feather Tail because I’m dying to see what it will do with them, and Time for the Bell cause I know exactly where she grew up — and I want to see what it will do with her. I’ll leave the rest of the August Moms for those ladies to tag. I’ll also tag Mostly-Mommy because she’s been so quiet lately.
